Sandra Lee (Sharp) Nolle
July 24, 1942 ~ March 29, 2022
Sandra Lee Sharp was born to James and Aldine Sharp in St. Louis, MO, July 24, 1942. Growing up the oldest of the 6 children, Sandy was an introspective, yet nurturing member of the Sharp family, finding her love for Christ and life-long strength in her Catholic faith. Sandy became a nurse, which helped shape her joy in “exactness”—from exact baking measurements to towel folding and bed corners. She fell in love and married Floyd Nolle on September 11, 1965. Eventually, Sandy gave up her career in nursing to raise her children, but she always retained her love for the nursing profession, as well as an interesting appreciation for hospital cafeteria food and gift shops.
Sandy, Floyd, and their three children eventually moved to Omaha, Nebraska in the mid-70s, but they never forgot their roots, spending most summer vacations back in St. Louis and St. Charles, visiting the extended family. Sandy shared a special bond with her sisters, spending many hours on the phone catching up and entertaining each other, laughing until they cried.
Sandy was active in St. Roberts Catholic Church and arguably provided the best funeral meals in the Midwest. Later in life, she enjoyed lunch with friends and shopping at Von Maur. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and cherished the quiet, one-on-one times the most.
Sandra is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Martin Nolle; her adored, first grandchild, Patrick Floyd Kennedy-Nolle. She is survived by her children: Chris (Sharon) Nolle, Cindy (Wes) Ramsey and Greg (Tonya) Nolle; as well as 14 grandchildren: Katy, Gabe, Warren, Nikki, Quin, Ally, Sinclair, Mary, Joe, Anna, John, Lucy, Juliana, Michael; siblings: Jim (Diane) Sharp, Sheri (Don) Schanche, Barry (Connie) Sharp, Debbie (Joe) Liuzza, Kevin (Donna) Sharp; many nieces and nephews; grand nieces and nephews, and other family, friends and loved ones.
