Sharon Kay Slotten
March 2, 1937 – April 5, 2025
Sharon Kay Slotten passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Sharon was born on March 2, 1937, in Callender, Iowa, to Roy & Katherine Ball. She graduated in 1955 from Fort Dodge Senior High and married the love of her life Gerald Slotten on June 12, 1955, in Fort Dodge.
Together they had four children, Lana Marie, Tamara Kay, Marilee Ann, Jerry Alan.
Sharon worked most of her life in the medical field, going back to school later in life to pursue her Medical Assistant degree, then working for Nebraska Medical center, retiring in 1997.
She had a love for sewing and quilting her whole life going to many retreats with her daughter Tami and many of her other family members. She loved family get-togethers.
Sharon loved her extended family at Elk Ridge Village, where she lived for the past year.
Survivors include her daughter Tamara (Doug) Petersen Grand Island; Jerry Slotten Omaha; 9 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 6 great-great-grands, three more on the way.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Lana Marie and Marilee Ann; brother, John Ball; sister, Sally Sweeney; two grandchildren, MaKenna Bolanos and Tyler Godsey.
