Sharon Lynn Garrett was born on November 20, 1949 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Tom and Ione Garrett.  She was a true southern belle, the best cook, and lived and loved like Jesus did.  Born with a rare congenital heart defect and given a 10 year life expectancy, Sharon was a walking miracle every day that she lived.

She went on to become a master florist and her most important roles as mother and grandmother. Her family and friends were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Sharon during her 69 years of life.  Among those lessons: be a friend to everyone; and live each day to its fullest.

Sharon fought a short battle with cancer and passed peacefully in her home surrounded by immediate family and close friends.  She lived a full live and survived by her two children, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister, extended family and many friends.

Sharon, You will forever be in my heart and soul. You taught me so much throughout our 32 years of friendship and I will never forget you, yet, look forward to seeing you again, at our eternal home, with Jesus Christ! Chris, Angela, and Mikayla, we’re here for you now and forever. We love you and will always keep you in our prayers.

Sharon was my brothers daughter. I knew her well when she was young and loved her dearly. Condolence to her sister Rose, and daughter that I have not seen in some years as we live a few miles away, but we still think of you often.
