Sheila Ann Poleck

Sheila Ann Poleck

October 3, 1936 – November 26, 2022

Sheila went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2022, and was soon greeted in Heaven by her loving husband, Joseph, for one of the greatest reunions.

Sheila was born October 3, 1936, in Carroll, Iowa, to John and Bertha (Stone) Meents. She graduated from Odebolt High School in 1954, where she loved to sing in the choir.  Later, she married the love of her life Joseph Poleck.

Sheila worked for the Federal Court System in Omaha, Nebraska, and later at Heafey Hoffmann Dwork and Cutler Mortuaries.

She loved her church family and the comfort of her Bible Study group and will be remembered for her infectious giggle, kind heart, and beautifully decorated home.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; and brother Ted.

Those that are left to cherish her memory are her brother, Eric Meents and fiance, Laura; special nephew, Dan Koziol; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

My sincere sympathy to the family. Sheila and Joe were our special neighbors on Holmes. .Through the years we enjoyed many conversations in our front yards. I so admired her special pride in her beautiful home. I will miss our occasional phone visits.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Sheila’s family on her passing. Her late husband Joe was our best man at our wedding, and we enjoyed our friendship with him and Sheila thru the years. She had a caring, lively personality and was fun to be around! May she rest in peace with Joe in God’s tender care.

Aunt Sheila – You blessed us with your induction into our family when you married my uncle Joseph. You loved him and cared for him and endeared yourself to all of us. God has you in His arms, rest in peace with my uncle Joe, your beloved husband.
