VISITATION RESCHEDULED FOR TOMORROW, THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 2025, 9:00-10:30AM AT WEST CENTER CHAPEL
John “Jack” H. Willis age 91, and Shirley J. (nee Rigg) Willis age 87, passed away on March 11th and March 13th respectively. They married on April 1, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were preceded in death by their parents; and loving son, Greg. They are survived by their children: Dale (Anne), Kim (Mark), Brett (Jan), Lori, Beth (Todd), and Bobby, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her sister, Colleen; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack was born in Omaha and attended South High School. He served in the Naval Reserves shortly after high school. He loved hunting, fishing, and trips to Alaska. He was dedicated to the church for several decades serving in several capacities. His biggest joy was spending time with the grandchildren and great- grandbabies. They brought much laughter and love to him.
Shirley was also born in Omaha and attended Benson High School as a Benson Bunny. She was active with the Alumni Group and planning the reunions. She loved playing her organ, crocheting, bingo, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved going to church until she was unable to attend and watched from the comfort of their home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association and/or Breast Cancer Awareness.
VISITATION: Wednesday, March 19, 2025, 5:00-7:00PM West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, March 20, 2025, 10:30AM, West Center Chapel.
INTERMENT: Evergreen Memorial Park with Military Honors.
