Oh, Sigrid. We are missing you so much. Your warm smile, loving spirit and generous support. You were the one who kept Aksarben Curling Club going during its lean years. And look at it now. Nearly 200 members and three college teams participating in the College League. You were the one who found a way to make it happen Thank you for all of your contributions. It was always so much fun to curl with you. I will always feel your presence on and off the ice and miss your friendship. My deepest condolences to your children and grandchildren.

God’s kingdom is one angel richer right now. Sigrid and Paul were important influences in my life. Though it’s been years since I have seen her, she’s been in my thoughts lately. Layton knows that I asked about her just a week ago. My sincerest condolences to the entire family and to all of her many friends.

    To the family of Sigrid,
I was out of town on the day of the funeral. I was sad to hear of the passing of Sigrid.
I remember vividly when I began to learn to curl in 1973 at the Aksarben Curling club. Your family was so active in the sport.
Watching the whole Festersen family curl together inspired me to take this “CURLING” thing seriously as you modeled a sport that the whole family could do together and have a lot of fun in the “bargain”!
I remember Else riding on a curling stone down the ice. What Fun!
Thank you to the Festersen family for all you have done for the curling club. Sigrid will be missed. How lucky you were to have such a great woman as your mother.
May God put his arms around you and comfort you at this time.
I send condolences and prayers from my boys as well.
    Derek, Clinton and Trevor Rau
