M. Catherine “Katie” Sommer Oct 29, 1956 – Jul 31, 2015 Preceded in death by parents, Jim and Mickey Dodson. Survived by husband, Leonard Sommer; daughter and son-in-law, Emily Sommer and Jim Kourlas; son, James Sommer; sisters: Tancy Ellis (Rick), Clare Shanahan (Terry), and Jane Dodson Martin; brothers, Sam Dodson (Bethany) and Jim Dodson (Masako); nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, August 3rd, from 5pm to 7pm at St. John Catholic Church, Creighton University Campus, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Tuesday, August 4th at 10am at St. John Catholic Church. Private Interment. Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen-Nebraska.
