Betty J. Starzec Apr 22, 1924 – Mar 11, 2016 Owner and operator of Sarge & Betty’s Park Avenue Bar. Preceded in death by husband, Leonard J. “Sarge” Starzec; sister, Eddy Bohn. Survived by daughter, Anna Marie Hale; two granddaughters, Heather Szumla (Daniel) and Charmagne Chi (Ryan); three great-grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, and Abigail; sister, Bonnie Nuttelmann (Doug); nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 13th, from 3pm to 5pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with VIGIL SERVICE at 5pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, March 14th at 10:30am, Holy Cross Catholic Church. Graveside Service Monday, 3pm at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to VNA Hospice.
