We are so sorry for your loss. I truly enjoyed visiting with him when he stopped by the District Court office on his way to Court. I respected Steve not only for his expertise as an attorney, but also for his ability to treat everyone whom he met, with dignity. He will be truly missed. Our sympathy to you, his family.

We’ve known Steve for a long time in handling several estates. He didn’t judge people. He took people under his wing. He was a good man and spoke highly of his sons. Even when he retired he would still take my calls on how to handle situations. He was a good man and we’ll always remember his words of wisdom. You have our prayers!

Just heard of Steve’s passing yesterday. I am so sorry. He was a very good guy! My husband and I started with him about 35 years ago doing our taxes. We have conferred many times in the last 13 years, working with Trusts. Even after he retired he was willing to give me much appreciated advice. He will be missed by so many.

Although my husband, Jay, and I had known Steve for a long time through a Elks Country Club friendship, it was by having the PRIVILEGE of going to Steve’s home to distribute Holy Communion on a number of Sundays that I got to know Steve in a different way. We spoke about his Catholic faith which was very important to him. He was a very good and Godly man.

We were very sadden to learn of Steve’s passing. He was a wonderful person. We had the honor to spend free time with him, to enjoy his laugh and kind smile. I also was given the opportunity to work for him. We are so sorry for loss. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I just hear about Steve’s passing. I am sorry for your and the world’s loss; Steve was of a rare breed; both a good man and a good kind hearted lawyer. Early on in my career, I learned about the real practice of law and about life in general from him. Those few minutes between cases at the court house or over a drink at Glurs taught me you could be a effective advocate and still care about your client while treating your adversary with dignity. I still quote him today. He will be missed.

I am sorry to hear of the death of Steve. I had known Steve since C.U. Law School. Ipracticed in Columbus from 1974- 1983 and enjoyed my friendship both professionally and personally with him. He had a great sense of humor and never took himself too seriously. He treated his clients and adversaries with the utmost respect. He was a credit to his profession and community. We send are deepest sympathy to his family.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. While I never met Steve, I’ve known Matt for many years. It’s clear that Matt has had an incredible father and mentor. God bless!
