Steven Christopher Bergstrom
September 14, 1957 – January 21, 2025
The Lord welcomed Steven Christopher Bergstrom on January 21, 2025.
Steven was born on September 14, 1957, the second son of Ronald and Leona Bergstrom in Omaha, Nebraska. Steve leaves behind an older brother Ron and sister Kathy, and younger brothers Ken, Dan and Mick. He attended St Joan of Arc grade school, Arbor Heights middle school and Westside High school.
Steve was a very talented, and hard-working guy. His working career started at the Happy Hollow Country Club where he helped in the kitchen, then began his career in carpentry and became a master craftsman, produced not just many beautiful kitchens, but exotic tables, desks and even gun cabinets. He was a lover of dogs and had many through the years. He was a very good golfer, loved to sail several different boats on the Louis and Clark reservoir, assembled many very challenging jigsaw puzzles that adorned many of the walls in his home, and was a highly sought after and talented gardener.
Steve was blessed with many wonderful friends, and he was loved by them. He was a devote Catholic, which sustained him in his battle with cancer that lasted a decade longer than the six months the doctors had predicted. It was this inner strength that those close to Steve knew was the reason for his survival, in addition to his endless sense of humor and concern for others. Lastly, it was his generosity that will be remembered by those that kept Steve in their lives.
