SUS, William F.

William F. Sus Nov 24, 1935 – Jul 2, 2015 William Francis Sus was born on November 24, 1935 to Frank J. Sus and Helen M. Micek Sus. Bill grew up in Columbus, NE with his older brother Joe and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. After graduating from St. Bonaventure High School, Bill moved to Omaha in 1954 and began his lifelong career at Union Pacific Railroad. Bill took a short break from the railroad when he chose to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1957 through 1960. Bill returned from active duty to Omaha where he met his first wife, Patricia A Eickholt. They were united in marriage on January 15, 1966. Bill and Pat had four amazing children, Beth, Margie, David and Karen and were active members of St. James Parish and School. After Pat’s death in 1984, Bill worked really hard to be there for his children and make sure they continued to thrive. He even worked two jobs at a time to ensure they completed their high school educations at Marian and Creighton Prep High Schools. In 1989 Bill was blessed once again when he met Cathy M. Archer and they were united in marriage on September 17, 1993. Bill and Cathy enjoyed traveling together and began spending winters together in Sun City West, Arizona after Bill retired from the railroad in 1997. Over the years they enjoyed watching their family grow as all of their children were married and began having children of their own. Bill was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish and its Knights of Columbus. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. Sus and Helen M. Micek Sus; first wife, Patricia A.
