Suzanne Marie Conger

Suzanne Marie Conger

April 14, 1962 – September 9, 2021

Suzanne Marie Conger was born on April 14, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska.  She attended and graduated from Roncalli High School in 1980.  After graduation, Sue worked in a variety of jobs including helping her husband, Steve, build a successful family business and then employment with Hyatt Regency.  However, Sue found her calling in the banking industry, enjoying a very successful career at Pentagon Federal Credit Union where she made many friends and served the financial needs of credit union customers for over 20 years.

Sue’s hobbies and interests were very eclectic. She loved playing Bingo with friends and family members, watching the Family Feud with the boys, reading books, and always enjoyed listening to country music, especially the music of Carrie Underwood.  Her love of animals was evident, and she was a ‘mama’ to many feline and canine fur-babies throughout her life.  Sue was also an excellent cook and enjoyed making and treating others to Filipino food.  Her radiant smile, sense of humor, and infectious laughter were a joy to all who knew her.

However, above all else, Sue’s true passion was her family.  She was married to her husband, Steve Conger, for 29 years and was a devoted wife and loving mother, bringing to the union five beautiful children: daughter, Danielle Nichole Conger; sons, Kevin James Conger, Joshua Richard Conger, Austin Lee Conger, and Nicholas Dakota Conger.  Sue also took every opportunity to dote on her three beautiful grandchildren: Logan James Conger, Matthew Ryan Conger, Danielle “Dani” Nicole Conger.  She was an avid collector of Box Tops and soup labels to help them purchase educational books and school supplies.

Preceded in death by father, Earle “Pete” Pederson; mother, Beverly Jean Pederson; daughter, Danielle Conger.  Survived by Steve Conger, Kevin Conger (Katie Danielle), Joshua Conger, Austin Conger, and Nicholas Conger; brothers, Doug Bruce Pederson and Dan Keith Pederson.  Preceded in death by her father Earle “Pete” Pederson, her mother Beverly Jean Pederson, and her daughter Danielle Conger.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 17th from 5pm to 7pm at West Center Chapel.  FUNERAL: Saturday, September 18th at 10:30am at West Center Chapel.  Interment: Evergreen Cemetery.
