Sylvio John Rebolloso
August 16, 1957-May 29, 2025
Sylvio John Rebolloso, 67, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 29, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Sylvio was born on August 16th, 1957 to Amparo and Sylvio Rebolloso in Omaha. His childhood and teenage years were full of mischief, inspiring years of storytelling material. After graduating from Central High School in 1976, he attended University of Nebraska Omaha before moving to Los Angeles, CA where he began his career in banking and manufacturing sales.
His proudest accomplishment was always his family. He first laid eyes on his future wife, Kim, at a gymnastics meet in 1975. A week later, they met—and the rest was history. They married in 1981, and made their home in Tujunga, CA where they made many life-long friends and had their first child, Sarah. They returned to Omaha to be near family in 1989, where their daughter Andrea, and son Nick were born. He was a true family man, devoted to providing for and being involved in his children’s lives. There was nothing Sylvio enjoyed more than spending time with his family and beloved pets.
Sylvio built a life full of experiences and beautiful memories. He loved spending time out on the lake on his boat, camping, hunting, archery, playing the violin, coaching soccer, giving advice, telling stories, breakfast with friends, dancing and attending concerts with Kim, and taking his children and grandchildren on adventures. While Sylvio battled many hardships throughout his life, including the loss of his son Nick and many health issues later on, he met them all with courage and resilience. Sylvio was the pillar of strength for his family, and he left a legacy with his understanding and generous heart, unconditional love for his family, the pride he felt in the accomplishments of his family and friends, and his willingness to listen and advise.
Sylvio was preceded in death by his son Nicholas Rebolloso; parents-in-law Paul and Patricia Faur; brother-in-law Keith Faur; and sister-in-law,Karen Passaro.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Rebolloso; daughters Sarah Sexton and Andrea Bancalari (Carlos); grandchildren: Joseph (Miakoda), Audrey, John, James, Onyx, Leonidas, and Crixus; great-granddaughter, Iris; sister, Rosie Juergensen (Bryan); parents, Amy Mitchell and Sylvio Rebolloso; sister-in-law, Kristen Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
