Talia LaRae Krumbach, of Omaha, passed away peacefully after her lengthy battle with CHD (congenital heart disease) on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Josie Harper Hospice House.

Talia was born to Brent Krumbach and Jill Lund on May 5, 2009, in Omaha. An eighth grader at Beadle Middle School, she looked forward to this fall when she would attend Millard West as a freshman and cheerleader. Though Talia had battled with heart irregularities since before birth, she lived a full and happy life. From experimental surgery in-utero to six open-heart surgeries, and several additional procedures, she became a superhero to all who knew her.

Talia is remembered as sweet and sassy, with an unforgettable smile and a love of bacon, popcorn, and French fries. An amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, she was a blessing to everyone she met. Talia enjoyed company, spending time with her family and friends, and was always ready for a party. During her childhood, Talia participated in Girl Scouts, dance, art classes, and Special Olympics soccer. She was also a member of Heart Heroes where she found an honorary family among children with similar heart conditions.

Talia is survived by her mother, Jill Lund; father, Brent Krumbach; step-mother, Jillian Krumbach; brothers: Porter, Milo, Henry and Silas; sister, Ruby (all of Omaha); grandmother, Sandra Lund of Genoa, NE; grandmother, Donna Krumbach of Shelby, NE; grandfather and grandmother, Steve and Connie Sisson of Omaha, NE; countless other family and friends.
Talia was preceded in death by her grandpa, John Lund; grandpa, David Krumbach; cousin, Bradyn Hinkle; favorite daycare provider, Carol Lincoln; and many other heart hero friends who left us all too soon.
