Terrance J. Burks
January 21, 2002 – June 25, 2018
Terrance Joseph Burks, fondly referred to as TJ, was born on January 21, 2002, in Omaha, NE. He was the fourth child of seven siblings.
To know him is to love him. TJ was a charismatic young man who loved to crack jokes and was known to cheat in a game of UNO. Whenever he was dressed up, he’d say, “I look good.”
Terrance was baptized in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost on October 31, 2009 at Greater Beth-el Temple under the late Bishop Dr. Nelson G. Turner. His spiritual journey and development continued under his current pastor, Bishop Calvin J. Gould Sr. and his wife, Lady Valerie M. Gould. TJ was a blessing to the ministry and was a helper whenever there was a need. He was an active member of Christian Education, Young Men’s ministry, the GBT Young People’s ministry with their newsletter and tutoring. TJ took the initiative to work with Jr. Pastor’s Aide, where he began assisting with making cornbread in the kitchen, serving as a greeter in the Ushers and Greeters’ ministry, and helping with Security. We could see the Lord blessing TJ as he matured in the faith.
On June 25, 2018, the Lord called Terrance home at the tender age of 16. He is preceded in death by his father, Adam Wolf and sister, Brianna Pope.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Clarissa Wolf; siblings Cameron Wilson, Trevon Huggins, Tinaja Burks, Alivia and Amia Wolf; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Reymonda Pope, and Myrna Pope; his fraternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Cheryl Wolf, Sr., all of Omaha, NE; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; his pastor and first lady, Bishop Calvin and Lady Valerie Gould Sr. and the Greater Beth-el Temple Church family. TJ was a blessing and will be missed.
