Teddi Slattery passed away October 9, 2021, at The Parsons House in Omaha where she lived since 2020. Teddi was born and raised in Butte, Montana. She met her husband of 60 years, Tim Slattery, while attending the University of Arizona. Tim and Teddi lead a wonderful and rewarding life together. One of their primary interests was playing golf at the Omaha Country Club and at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale.

Teddi was an accomplished travel agent with Travel and Transport of Omaha, providing her the opportunity to experience a variety of cultures on six continents. After Tim passed away in 2010, Teddi continued her world travel pursuits with her daughter Sharon.

In addition to her career and travel, Teddi led an active life of philanthropy and giving back to the community. She was active in leadership roles with The Junior League of Omaha, Marian High School, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Jumble Shop Thrift Store, Munroe Meyer Institute, and many other organizations too numerous to name.
Teddi was Co-Founder of the Timothy and Thelma Slattery Family Foundation, where her multi-decade leadership and advocate role has resulted in making major and lasting impacts for organizations ranging from St. Philip Neri, Sacred Heart, and St. Richards Catholic Parishes in Omaha, Creighton Prep, Jesuit Academy, Marian High School and Creighton University. Other recipients of support included the Durham Museum of Omaha, The Holland Center, Douglas County Historical Society, the Henry Doorly Zoo, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Teddi and Tim were the recipients of the Ignatian Spirit Award given by the Jesuit Partnership Council of Omaha.

Teddi was an avid bridge player. She belonged to many bridge groups in Nebraska and Arizona. She displayed a talent as a secret artist, creating watercolor images and sketches of people and landscapes.

By far, the biggest legacy and passion of Teddi‘s life was her family. She was predeceased by her son Sean Michael, her husband, Timothy Slattery, and her son-in-law, John Bendon. Also predeceased by her mother and father, Leonard and Alice Haggarty, and sister Marion Smartt, all of Montana, and her brother Edward Leonard “Ted“ Haggarty of Tacoma, Washington. Teddi is survived by children Tim Jr. (Dorothy) of Vero Beach, FL; Dan (Debbie) of Omaha; Dave (Lisa) of Scottsdale, AZ; Sharon of Scottsdale, AZ; and Marion Bendon (John, deceased) of Omaha; as well as her 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and her beloved King Charles Spaniel of 12 years – Sam.
