THOMAS D. STRICKLETT, age 46, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley. Thomas was born January 23, 1963 in Omaha, Nebraska to Lugene Pete and Fay Ann (Crannell) Stricklett. He graduated from the T. J. High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Thomas was married to Lisa Nelson, May 26, 1990 in Missouri Valley. He was employed as a cook at Duncans Diner in Council Bluffs, McDonalds in Missouri Valley and was a handy man doing mowing and odd jobs for people. Thomas was a NASCAR fan, football and enjoyed the outdoors and animals. Survivors include his wife: Lisa; sons: Tyler and Zachary all of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughter: Summer Watts of Keller, Texas; grandchildren: Jonathan and Kyler; sisters: Chris Brown of Council Bluffs, Iowa; LaRae Synacek of Bartlett, Tennessee; brothers: Frank of Crescent, Iowa; Mike of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded by his parents, step-mom Claudine, grandson Landon, aunt Phyllis. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
