Thomas E. “Tom” Williams
January 15, 1928 – October 14, 2021
Longtime Omahan Tom Williams died early Thursday after a brief illness. He was 93. Born in Chicago, Tom grew up on a small farm near Liberty, MO. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from William Jewell College and went into the insurance industry as a claims adjuster.
In 1950 Tom met and married Willa Ruth Lewis, his wife for the next 66 years until her death in 2016. They are survived by a daughter and son, Sara and Jim, both of Omaha.
Tom was an avid golfer, gardener, and longtime volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Private services will be at All Saints Episcopal Church, Omaha. Memorial donations are suggested to Episcopal Relief and Development at episcopalrelief.org.
