Thomas G. “Trip” Blair, III

Thomas Glenn Blair III or “Trip” as he was passionately known, was born and raised and spent the majority of his life in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Burke High School where he was a member of the swim team for four years. After graduating in 1983, he enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he made many of his lifelong friends. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering in 1987. He later moved back to Omaha where he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and acquired his Masters in Business Administration.
He went to work for Omaha Public Power District and then ventured out as an entrepreneur and started his own company, Imperial Systems in 2005. He grew his business and provided services for commercial properties in Omaha and Council Bluffs for the next 17 years. He dedicated his time serving his community by volunteering in groups such as the Ronald McDonald House where he served a term as president, The Stephen Center, and his own neighborhood pool, Sunset Hills, where he was a board member for years. Trip’s many passions included his family, cooking, outdoor gardening, scuba diving, and woodworking.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas Glenn Jr. and Zoy Blair; children: Thomas Glenn IV (Gina) of Denver CO, Elaina (Adam) Spinola, Julia Blair and Matthew Blair all of Omaha; sisters: Deb (Mark) Schorr of Lincoln NE, Sherrie (Bernie) Dudzinski of Omaha, and Kristie (Chad) Locke of Malcolm NE. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Thomas Glenn I and Dorothy Blair, Armond and Dorothy Harris, and niece, Katie Locke.

Worked for Tom for 13 years. Out of all the cleaning companies I’ve worked for, Tom was the nicest man. So sorry to hear of his passing
