Thomas J. Stilmock, Jr.

STILMOCK-Thomas Joseph, Jr., age 51, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Beijing, China. He was born August 30, 1954, in Omaha. After high school, he attended Arizona State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. He graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with a degree in Chinese Studies, then the University of Hong Kong under the exchange student program. He loved it there, and began his business career in Hong Kong. He spent the last 15 years in Beijing. Besides his business, he loved the outdoors. He traveled the world, spending time golfing and scuba diving – he most enjoyed swimming with the Manta Rays. Tom loved life and accomplished so many things that most of us only dream of. Preceded in death by brother, Tim. Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Betty; sister, Lynn Bendix and husband, Mark of Portland, OR; sister, Sue; brothers, Todd and wife, Julie, Terry and wife, Sue, Pat and wife, Kim; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial was held in Beijing, which was attended by friends from many parts of the world. VIGIL SERVICE Friday, 7:00 p.m., West Center Chapel. SERVICES Saturday, 9:30 a.m., West Center Chapel to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Hillcrest with Full Military Honors by Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard. VISITATION from 3:00 p.m., Friday, at the West Center Chapel.
