Thomas M. “Tino” Constantino
July 6, 1957- September 18, 2023
Thomas Michael Constantino was born to James and Ida (Mastromateo) Constantino on July 6, 1957. He attended Westside High School and graduated in 1976. While in his last year of high school, he simultaneously started Cosmetology School in the evenings. The discovery of his true passion had finally been revealed. Following high school, Tom pursued his passion for hair at his father’s salon, James and Sons. Later, he furthered his career and met his friend and mentor, Tommy Coppi, who influenced his nickname “Tino,” that would start his legacy. He turned that name into a thriving business and brand, opening Salon Tino with his wife, Trish, in 1989.
Several years after opening Salon Tino, the salon was recognized by an industry trade publication, “American Salon”, as a top performing salon in the nation. He paved the way for countless stylists and inspired them with his passion for hair. He taught them to strive for excellence and represent the beauty industry with pride. He inspired, motivated and challenged his employees, making Salon Tino one of the top performing salons in Omaha for many years.
Tom had a deep passion for making people feel beautiful inside and out. If he wasn’t behind his chair, he was on the golf course, his bike, or traveling the world and making an impact on a different community. He loved to cook and bring his family together over Italian food. Tom had four beautiful children, Julian, Jarred, Mia and Isabella. He was a loving and caring father. His family was always the most important thing to him. He will always be remembered for his bright smile and the laughter that he brought to any room. He was a Legend and will be sorely missed by many.
Tom was preceded in death by parents, James and Ida; brother, James J. “Chip” Constantino, Salvadore “Sammy Joe” Constantino. He is survived by his children: Julian (Jessica), Jarred (Olivia), Mia (Josh), Isabella; five grandchildren; sisters, Carol, Mary; brother, Mark (Patty); and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

I am heartbroken. All my love to my family❤️
Tom and I were friends at Arbor Heights Jr. High and Westside High School. He always made me smile. He was a quality individual . Being 6 feet tall in high school was tough for a girl! Tom always made light of it and if I had a bad day, made it better. .
I’m sorry for your families loss. Take comfort in memories to get you through these difficult times.
Just so devastated to learn of Tino passing. I will miss him terribly. Wonderful man who was a master of his trade,. He certainly loved life and all he was blessed with. Thoughts and prayers to all the family, friends, and clientele, but also Candice.
My heart breaks for all the family. He was an inspiration to me and I will carry his love and laughter in my heart forever!
My deepest sympathy!
Tino was “the guy” from my first days in the business till the end of his journey. He put it out there and we all chased after it. The only time I actually worked for him was when I played piano at Salon Tino’s part time while I was in beauty school. But he still made me work harder and want more by just watching what he did. . We even competed for a time but I always respected him and we always got along great. You made us all better brother. Cheers and rest in peace.
Working at Salon Tino’s where some of the best years of my life! I will always be grateful to him for making me become what I am today as a hairstylist.
My heart and prayers go out to his family!

Tino and I became friends in 1978. I had the good fortune to work and be close friends for many fun years at The Factory Salon as well as SalonTino. Besides being a fantastic hairdresser, he was always the most fun, terrific friend. My heat goes out to his children, sisters Mary and Carole, brother Mark, as well as his countless clients and friends.
Hey will be so missed.
I met Tino through his brother Mark. He was the best stylist in execution and personality I ever had. My condolences to the Family. God Bless.
I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Tom’s passing. I first met him at Westside High School. He was a senior and I was a lowly sophomore at the time. His smile was the brightest and most genuine. He lit up the room. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his entire family. He will be so deeply missed by many.
Tino was our hairdresser for three generations of our family. I went to him for over twenty years when I was living in Omaha. He sincerely cared about his customers and always asked how my mom was doing. I appreciated his high level of customer service and how he made you feel like his most important client. He was one of a kind and I will miss him. My condolences to his family and to his friend and colleague of many years, Candace.
