Thomas P. Driscoll

Thomas P. Driscoll

March 20, 1960 – October 11, 2023

Preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Delia L. Driscoll. Survived by parents, Frank and Mary Driscoll; daughters, Aurora Driscoll Barker (Leland), and Chelsea; grandson and light of his life, Felix; siblings: Mark (Blair), Mike, Brian (Kathie), and Mary Beth Doubek (David); countless nieces and nephews.

Tom loved life and had an adventurous spirit. He was fond of traveling, tennis, golf, classic rock, and sci-fi. He was a chocolate lover with a collection of M&M dispensers. He looked forward to his Saturday morning routine, eating doughnut holes with Felix.

His education included Mary Our Queen, Mount Michael Benedictine School, St. John’s University (MN), University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Tom battled Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years, but his optimism never wavered. Throughout his milestones with M.S., he touched the lives of those around him: In his career, at church, at the girls’ schools and especially at Hillcrest Shadow Lake, where he lived for the past eight years.

The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and health care providers at Shadow Lake for their love, kindness, patience and for being a second family to Tom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mount Michael Abbey, where he created many fond memories and gained lifelong friends.

VISITATION: Thursday, October 19th from 5pm to 7pm at David “D.J.” Sokol Memorial Chapel at Mount Michael Abbey, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, October 20th at 10:30am at the David “D.J.” Sokol Memorial Chapel at Mount Michael Abbey.  Interment in Mount Michael Abbey Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mount Michael Abbey.

Frank, Mary, Mark and Family, wishing you God’s peace during this sad time. Many fond memories of my neighbor! Gorgeous skier, sweet, kind, smart. Enjoyed a few memorable high school outings with Tom and his buddy Casey. So glad Casey is there to greet Tom in Heaven.

As one of the care staff from Shadow Lake, he will be greatly missed. He used to help me with my homework and give me words of advise. He will be greatly missed. My condolences and heartfelt prayers to his parents, daughters, grandson, and grand pup!
