Thomas Patrick Sutton

SUTTON-Thomas Patrick, age 67 years, of Omaha, passed away on May 3, 2007, at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 17, 1939, in Sioux City, IA, to Donald J. Sutton Sr. and Florence M. (Angerman) Sutton, also deceased. Tom attended East High School in Sioux City, IA and worked for MUD for over 40 years. In January 2007, Tom and his wife Sharon celebrated 50 years of marriage. After his retirement, Tom and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States, visiting family, friends, and sites of interest. Tom’s favorite hobby was tracing his family tree, which he did with great enthusiasm. Continuing on are his wife, Sharon Patricia Sutton; children: Randall Lane Sutton of Minneapolis, MN, Amy Kristine (Sutton) Hineline and husband David of South Sioux City, NE, John Carlyle Sutton of Omaha; granddaughter Tammy Kay Hineline of Omaha; siblings: Glory Ann (Sutton) Clark and husband Raymond of Clovis, CA, Donald John Sutton, Jr. and wife Marylynn of Placerville, CA. Memorial Service Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at the West Center Chapel. Tom will be laid to rest on Wednesday, next to his mother and father at a private service at Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army, www.salvationarmyusa.org; or VNA (Visiting Nurses Association). No visitation. Tom Sutton will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and caring grandfather. He was a kind man who was always there to help people in need, and he will be sorely missed.
