Timothy Wallace Irish
March 29, 1947 – January 24, 2021

Born in Denver, Colorado. Tim had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army for 42 years, achieving rank of Command Sergeant Major, and was recently appointed as the Army Reserve Ambassador for the state of Nebraska.

Tim was the President and Owner of Designed Properties L.L.C. a real estate development and management company that specializes in senior living retirement communities in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Colorado and Kansas.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wayne State College in Nebraska and Master of Science in Business from Wayne State College in Nebraska. He is a certified property manager.

Tim was involved in many organizations, clubs and philanthropies including American Legion, Kiwanis, Rotary, American Red Cross National Board Member, American Red Cross Regional Board Member for Nebraska, Kansas & Southwest IA, International  Restoring Family Links, Service to the Armed Forces Case Worker, Life, Safety and Asset Protection Nebraska, Kansas & Southwest IA, Association of Professional Ball Players of America -Life Member

He received the American Red Cross Community Volunteer Leader of the year and the AKSARBEN Citizen Soldier of the year. He was preceded in death by parents, Roscoe Wallace and Cecile Vivian (Trammel) Irish; sister, Patsy Smiley. Tim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sondra; and 3 children; Cort (Kimberly), Kelsey (James) and Patrick (Nikki); grandchildren: Jaden, Ella, Maren, Finnegan, Hazel, Maebel and Liam.

Our family would like to thank our friends and extended family for their tireless support and prayers during this difficult time. We’d also like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Tim in recent weeks.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE following CDC guidelines with current COVID-19 regulations will be held Saturday, January 30th from 5-8PM at West Center Chapel. Private Interment: Omaha National Cemetery with full military honors.

    It is difficult to find the words to express our sorrow for our good friend, Sandy, and her family. We will miss Tim’s larger than life personality and regret we will not have more time together but will always hold him in our hearts and memories.

    Sorry to hear about Tim’s passing many moons ago had the pleasure of selling Tim some vehicles even a Mazda rx7 if memory serves me right and always found him during our chats to be a funny and great guy my condolences go out to his family
