She is survived by her son/daughter-in law, Josh and Beth Kujath, Omaha NE; son/daughter-in law, Stuart and Amanda Kujath, Omaha NE; granddaughters, Alexandra and Mina Kujath; brother/sister-in-law, Doug and Kala Leak, Lincoln, NE; other family and friends.
Preceded in death by grandma, Nina Hielen; mother, Pam Leak.
Traci Kujath, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 22, 1969, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Traci lived a life full of compassion, strength, and adventure.
She attended Southeast High School and began her professional journey in cosmetology while raising her two sons, Josh and Stuart. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and as her children grew older, Traci followed a dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She earned her degree from the University of Nebraska in 2007, a testament to her determination and caring heart.
In 2009, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, with her beloved dog Yemaya to begin her nursing career at the Mayo Clinic. She thrived in the warmth of the desert, where she found joy in hiking, exploring the city, and taking spontaneous trips to the beach. Her career later led her to the Barrow Neurological Institute, where she continued to provide exceptional care to others.
In 2020, Traci returned home to Nebraska to be closer to family and to embrace her favorite role yet—that of Grandma to her granddaughters, Alexandra and Mina. She cherished every moment with them and held them close in her heart.
Traci was a lover of nature, travel, her dogs, and above all, her family. Her spirit was adventurous and her kindness endless. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration.
A Presentation by Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Decker Creek Lodge at Platte River State Park, followed by Visitation until 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard Scholarship Fund.

Rest in peace Traci
Rest in paradise my cousin. You will be missed.
We didn’t know Traci for very long, but recall her constsnt smile, gentle touch with her granddaughters and grateful nature toward all that her sons were able to help with. We have learned what a full and purposeful life Traci has led. Truly living always to serve others. An amazing life, well lived Rest in well earned peace Traci.
