Tracy Hilding, age 80, passed away on December 26, 2022, after struggling with a gastric illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed, staying determined right up to the end.

Tracy was born on July 7, 1942, to her beloved parents, Don & Eileen Brown, in Lincoln, Nebraska. They moved to Omaha, where her mother was a teacher at St. Robert’s. Tracy went to Holy Name High School and had some college at Creighton University. After closing her business, Tracy went to work at Baker’s grocery store. She held many jobs there, working right up until she got sick. She was a hard worker, always saying that she didn’t want to sit around and loved to be working. She made many friends there.

Tracy is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Eileen Brown, and her beloved husband, Galen Hilding.

I met Tracy at Baker’s. She was always very kind, and wanted to strike up a conversation. She was easy to talk to. I got a chance to work with her on overnights a couple of times. She was very helpful showing a newbie around and showing me what to do. She made those long overnight shifts that much easier to get through. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and loved ones. She will be missed by a lot of people. She touched the hearts of so many people she came in contact with and I’m glad to have gotten the chance to have known her!
