Jan 24, 1930 Dec 19, 2012 Survived by wife, Hope (Reyes) Alvarez; 5 daughters and sons-in-law: Jeanine and David Empfield, Julie and Stephen Pesek, Michelle and Michael Killeen, Nancy and David Babe, Patty Fiorini; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mary Wiebelhaus and Ramona Vogt; one brother, Joseph P. Alvarez; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Silvia Alvarez; brother, Jess Alvarez; great-granddaughter, Ella Forbes. VISITATION begins Friday, December 21 at 5:00pm at the West Center Chapel with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7:00pm. SERVICES Saturday, December 22, 9:30am from the Chapel to Holy Cross Catholic Church for MASS at 10:00am. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery with military rites by G.I. Forum. Memorials may be directed to the family.
