I love you Uncle Ed. I’ll never forget all of the amazing 4th of July parties you & Aunt Peggy hosted! All of us cousin looked forward to it all year long! The Nebraska football parties at the house by SThomas Moore w the Koi fish pond &me chasing jagger, named after Mic Jagger, Your presence will always be alive in this world through all of the lives you’ve touched and brightened. You and Aunt Peg are the ultimate couple goals! Always I’m sync with one another. The loving glances of respect and admiration. I always felt at peace and at home when around the two of you, the way your laughs sounded in unison together so naturally, so perfect- the sound of true love. Such a rare golden thing- It wasn’t missed in the legacy you passed on to your loving boys who chose beautiful amazing wives and continued you and Aunt Pegs legacy of warmth, happiness, sincerity, joy and pure love to everyone you met. I love you forever Uncle Ed! Love your favorite niece, Katie Xoxo

I was very sad to hear of your loss Ed Trout was a kind caring wonderful soul. I pray for the family so they will have the strength to get thru this. He is a household name in the transportation industry and will always remain so.
My father Smokey worked for Ed and Omar for many years ago and described them both as Honorable men.
As fate would have it, My wife and I moved up the street from the ATrouts (his son and daughter John and Michelle) and we are always going to be life long friends. Ed was a very friendly man who visited all the time and loved seeing the boys.
You will be missed but our Lord had other plans and someday we will meet again..
The Quandt Family
It seems our world is always about thinking about legacy. I don’t think Ed ever have it any thought. He was always concerned with doing the “right” thing and how the decisions he made impacted those around him and their families. I can’t think of a single time he chose himself in business or in life ahead of others.
Honor is a word seldom used today – but when I think of Ed, my first thought as always is that he is such an honorable man. He lived his Christian principles and set an example for the hundreds of owner-operators whose lives he touched in immeasurable ways. He made all of us better businessmen (and women) and better men for having known him and having him in our lives. This world and our lives will be much smaller without him- but his legacy will live on in the impact he made on our lives and by changing us to be better, made better the lives of our children. There is no greater legacy than that.
My tears, my sorrow and my prayers are with the entire Trout family.
