Tyler Merle Schnortz
December 25, 1996 – April 10, 2023
Tyler Merle Schnortz, unexpectedly and tragically passed away at home in Schertz, Texas, on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 26. He leaves behind his devoted mother, April (Watts) Schnortz; father, Steven Schnortz; sisters, Addison and Ansley; grandparents, Larry and Joan Watts, who all love and miss him dearly.
Tyler was born on December 25, 1996, in Spokane, Washington. He was the perfect gift. Tyler was an extremely sweet, kind, and sensitive child and grew up to be a highly intelligent, responsible, trustworthy, and a very caring young man. He cared very deeply about other’s feelings. Tyler was a huge animal lover whether they were his pets or just animals in nature. He was very protective of all creatures. He had three dogs, Terra, Mya, and Katie who he loved and cared for. They are still searching for him. Tyler graduated from Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas with honors in 2015. He attended St Philip’s College and Texas A&M. He worked for Nordstrom and FEDEX.

Thank you for being my buddy when no one else would. I’m happy we knew each other, and I hope we can talk about our favorite games again someday.
So sorry for the loss of your son, Tyler. From watching his service from here in Maine, he must have been a fine son. I hope knowing you have so many relatives in Omaha that care about you and are there for you help in the difficult days ahead. I wish I had known Tyler. Love and prayer to you, Jon and Helen
