Vanita Jane Moulton

May 1, 1938 – September 22, 2018

Vanita passed away peacefully at the Josie Harper Hospice House on September 22, 2018.  Born on May 1, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Van and Neva L. (Adams) Holtby. She married Bruce Moulton on December 18, 1965.

After high school, she attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Vanita then attended the University of Kansas, receiving a Master of Science in Education Degree in 1965. Vanita followed her passion and taught for many years.

She was a member of Dundee Presbyterian Church and served as the Christian Education Director for nine years, as well as the church camp Craft Director for twenty-five years.

Vanita was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol Schwaller. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; son, Kyle (Amy); daughter, Amy Sissel (Mike); grandchildren, Kyla, Hayley and Augustine; Godchild, Gracie Halbur and the family dog, Mitsy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 27th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel.  GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, September 28th at 9:30am at Westlawn Memorial Park.  MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday at 11am at Dundee Presbyterian Church, 5312 Underwood, with luncheon following the service. Memorials to Nebraska Children’s Home or Dundee Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund.

    I was so sorry to hear that the time had finally come. Knowing it was coming certainly doesnt make things any easier, however. My thoughts are with all of the family.
