Victor W. Harman was born on May 3, 1997 in Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Hillside Elementary, Westside Middle School, and then graduated from Westside High School in 2015.  Victor loved to laugh.

He had a happy-go-lucky charm, piercing blue eyes, a fantastic smile, and the most amazing sense of humor and sharp wit.  Victor was a loyal and true friend and a man who would never betray a confidence.  His word was his bond.  Victor was extremely intelligent and tech savvy – a friend you could call anytime for a tech question.  He would often build his own computers from scratch.

Victor enjoyed the outdoors and had a great sense of adventure.  He loved a roaring campfire and looking at the stars. Victor enjoyed watersports including parasailing and riding a jet ski at top speeds on Lake Okoboji.

He had a very intellectual and inquisitive mind and would not stop pursuing any topic until he found the most accurate answer.  Victor recently researched Himalayan Goats and discovered they would climb a mountain at 90 degree angles just to get to the special salt at the top, so he immediately bought his dog a large Himalayan salt brick.  He reasoned that his dog is always licking him and would also enjoy this special salt.  Victor’s pride and joy was his loving Golden Retriever, Leonidas.  He thoughtfully named him after the King of the Spartans. Leonidas was a true friend and companion to him.  Victor was the happiest when he was playing and spending time with Leonidas.

Victor is survived by parents Van W. Harman III and Cheryl L. Harman; sister, Vanessa L Warneking (Brian L.), niece, Alise B. Warneking; brother, Van W. Harman IV (Nicole P.), niece, Aurora B. Harman, nephew, Van W. Harman V., and Hosea J. Harman; grandfather, Harvey D. Howery; grandmother, Barbara J. Howery; and other aunts and uncles.  Preceded in death by niece, Violet H. Warneking; grandfather, Van W. Harman Jr.; grandmother, Dorothy B. Harman; and uncle, Eric W. Harman.  Victor will also be predeceasing his beloved companion and canine friend, Leonidas.

    Van and Cheryl,
We so wanted to be with you at the visitation on Saturday: However on the way to the funeral home, we were broadsided on 74th and Cass when a woman ran the red light totaling our car.
We are so sorry we were unable to hug you and hear about all of Victor’s adventures. We are here if you need us. Love to you and your family.
