Walter F. Scavio, Jr.
August 22, 1943 – April 11, 2023
It is with our deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Walter F Scavio Jr. Walt was surrounded by his children when he passed on April 11, 2023. He was born on August 22, 1943, in Omaha, NE, to Walter and Arline Scavio. He married Eunice Matthews on March 18, 1964.
Beloved father of Jeff (Kristy), Tammy, Brian, Debbie, David (Angel), and Tony (Tiffany); grandfather of Mandy, Ambur, Monica, Matthew, Makayla, Nick, Anthony, Maria, Aiden, Amanda; great-grandfather to 7 great-grandchildren; Brother to Patricia, Beverly, Susan, Pamela, Mary, Cathy, Edward, James. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Walt was a devoted longtime member of Saint James Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Joseph.
Family and friends are invited to a Rosary (Vigil) on Thursday, April 13th, 5pm at West Center Chapel. Visitation with the family will follow immediately after. Funeral services: on Friday, April 14th, 10:30am, at Saint James Catholic Church, 4710 N. 90th Street in Omaha Nebraska 68134. Luncheon to immediately follow the service.
