Marcella Ann “Marcy Warner February 12, 1932 – July 22, 2015 Marcy Warner, 83 of Valley, NE, passed away on July 22, 2015 in Fremont, NE. She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin on February 2, 1932, child of Nathalie and Arthur Walk. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Rt. Rev. James D. Warner, 8th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska; and daughter, Tammy A. (Warner) Harris. She is survived by her brother, Gerald Walk; six children and their spouses: Stephen R. Warner (Terry Jean), David S. Warner (Rose), Cheryl L. (Warner) Mulder (Craig), Mark W. Warner, Kathryn A. Capen (Bill), and James P. Warner (Angie), 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Marcy dedicated her life to raising her seven children, loving her grandchildren, and supporting her husbands ministry in the church. Marcy and Jim absolutely loved dogs. This is believed to have contributed to longevity and quality of life after retirement and raising seven children. Marcy will be inurned in the columbarium at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha after a PRIVATE FAMILY PRAYER SERVICE on Saturday, August 22nd. Memorial donations can be made to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund (episcopalrelief.org), ASPCA, or your local animal rescue organization.
