June 16, 1941- August 24, 2024

Wayne Padrnos, a loving father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 83.

Wayne was born to the late Joseph Emil Padrnos and Rosalie (Bueltel) Padrnos. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from Creighton University, an accomplishment that marked the beginning of his successful career as an accountant.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou; his brother, David Padrnos; and his sister, Teresa Thamm. He is survived by his sons, Jon Padrnos and Paul Padrnos; his sister, Sally Duckworth; and his cherished granddaughter, Ava Padrnos.

Wayne found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid golfer and spent countless hours perfecting his swing. He took pride in his fitness, often being found at the YMCA in the early morning hours working out. He had a passion for building model airplanes, a hobby that showcased his meticulous attention to detail. Wayne was known for his love of animals, always taking time to care for them with kindness. In his later years, he enjoyed listening to Taylor Swift, finding a surprising yet deep connection to her music. Above all, Wayne cherished the moments spent with his family.

Wayne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

VIGIL SERVICE: Thursday August 29, 2024, at 7:00PM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, with VISITATION from 5:00-7:00PM.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday August 30, 2024, at 10:30AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 6116 Dodge Street, Omaha.

INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery, Wymore, NE., located at 40265-40305 S. 23rd Road in Gage County, NE at 2:00PM, Friday August 30.

    I was a classmate of Wayne’s at Holy Name high school. Although I did not know Wayne well, he was always a steadying influence in our class, and I wish his family my sincere sympathy during this time. May perpetual light shine upon him.
