Joseph A. Wenzl Nov 11, 1928 Oct 12, 2016 Age 87; went to be with Lord on October 12, 2016 in Peoria, Arizona. Joseph was born in Burchard, Nebraska to Leo and Isabelle Wenzl on November 11, 1928. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as a Pilot-Weather Briefer for 37 years. Joseph was an active member of the VFW Post 2704 and the American Legion Post 0331 since 1996. He moved in August of this year to be with his family in Arizona. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Nita Wenzl; sister, Elizabeth Ann Ruzicka; and parents, Leo and Isabelle Wenzl. He leaves behind his children, Joseph Paul Wenzl and Mary Elizabeth Burke; grandchildren: David Alexander Wenzl, Sean Patrick and Rachel Elizabeth Burke; brothers, Le Roy Wenzl and wife Linda, Delbert Wenzl; sister, Leona Doidge; sixteen nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, October 28th at 10am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2617 So. 31st St. Joseph will be laid to rest at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska.
