Wesley “Ross” Davison
March 27, 1948 – December 10, 2023
Wesley “Ross” Davison was born on March 27, 1948, in North Manchester, Indiana. On December 10, 2023, while surrounded by his family, Ross passed away peacefully from cancer at the age of 75.
Ross was the youngest of 3 children to Edgar and Joyce Davison. He was a Crew Chief in the Airforce and was a Vietnam veteran. After his time served in the Airforce, Ross worked at Husker Dodge for two years, and then worked as an Auto Mechanic with OPPD, where he was employed for 42 years!
Ross was known for his hard work and dropping what he was doing to help family or friends with anything that was asked of him. He had a knack for knowing how to fix anything. He had a love for automobiles, and could keep a car running well past its lifetime.
Ross was well loved by his family; especially his five grandkids, who he was proud of and enjoyed attending their events throughout the years.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Davison and Joyce Davison-Taylor; his sisters, Jackie Elliott and Janet Sturtsman; his brother-in-law, Jim Sturtsman; his niece, Linda Sturtsman; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Bonnie Miglini. Ross was a very good friend and great individual. He will be missed by everyone
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I hope that all of the special times together will be with all of you.
Matt and Dan, I didn’t know your dad, but from the stories I have heard from you, he was one heck of guy and raised you right given what Ive know of both of you….especially knowing he was a fellow gear head!
I feel the sadness and heavy hearts you have in the loss of your dad. I’ve been in your shoes and the grief I felt when I suddenly lost my dad who was my best friend. It was painful I wasn’t able to say goodbye and that I loved him. It gives me comfort in knowing you were able to do that in Ross’s final hours. For that, you should feel comfort and peace that he knew how you felt.
My thoughts and prayers and are with you and your family in this time of morning and celebration of his life.
