William A. Schlotfeld, Jr.
December 5, 1963 – February 14, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Arthur Schlotfeld Jr., who left us quietly in his sleep after a prolonged illness on February 14, 2024. Born on December 5, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, William lived a full life characterized by his dedication to his craft, his love for his family, and his enduring spirit.
William spent his entire career painter at Buss Lincoln painting .
Preceded by his parents, Nancy and William Schlotfeld Sr., William’s legacy is carried forward by his four beloved children: Robert “Bobby” Schlotfeld, Anthony “Tony” Schlotfeld, Ashley (married to Kelly Shannon), and Katey Dorrall (married to Vaunita Dorrall). His memory will also be cherished by his brothers: Jimmy, Roger, and Jeff, who stood by him throughout his life’s journey.
William was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Lil Bobby, Zoe, Makenzie, Abbie, Shayla, Baylor, Lila, King, and Zadyn. Each of them brought immense joy and laughter into his life, illuminating his days with their presence.
He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a community of friends and colleagues who will miss his warmth, his infectious laugh, and the stories he shared. William was a pillar of strength, love, and generosity, touching the lives of many with his kindness and compassion.
Visitation begins Friday, February 23rd at 5PM with a Memorial Service at 6PM all at West Center Chapel.
William’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory and the love he shared will forever remain with us. He was a remarkable man who lived a life full of purpose, love, and laughter, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Schlotfeld family. It is never easy to see a loved one leave us but I hope you knowing he loved others as much as he was loved brings a small bit of comfort to your heavy hearts.

I haven’t seen Bill in quite a few years. But I remember him being a giant teddy bear who would give you the shirt off his back to help. He was always smiling ans happy. Bill, rest easy with your mom and dad. I know they missed you as much as you missed them. Rest in heaven 🙏
Billy was wonderful dude… Very few days , in fifty years I’d ever seen him without a smile on his face in a big giant laugh. You could not see him for 3 or 4 years. But as soon as you’d just seen him, and heard that laugh. You knew he was there. Thoughts and prayers for the family we lost a very very good dude guy.
