William “Bill” Miller

October 11, 1947 – May 1, 2021

 William “Bill” Miller of Springfield, Nebraska was born on October 11, 1947 and passed away on May 1, 2021.  He was married to his loving wife, Joan, on February 28, 1976; spent time working as a carpenter, and retired as a City of Omaha building inspector.  

He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Navy for four years.  He loved his family, his country, and he enjoyed bringing joy to others.  A few of his favorite activities were attending and coaching sporting events, fishing, watching Husker football games, spending time riding his motorcycle with his Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) friends, being with those he loved, playing poker and keno.

Survivors include wife, Joan; sister, Pat Griffin; son, John Miller (Amy); daughter, Angela Bush (Gary); grandkids:  Merrick, Brinley, Beckett, Maesynn, and Samuel.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, May 7th at 9am at the Omaha National Cemetery.

    Our sympathies to Joan, John, Angie, & the rest of the family. Bill was such a blessing to our son and his friends. He always had a kind word and jovial disposition. He talked highly of his kids and wife. Truly a good man. We were blessed to know him.
