William “Bill” and Linda were married for 51 years, raised 2 sons, and were proud grandparents to 7 grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Harriet Nodes; and wife, Linda. Survived by siblings: Harry (Sandy) Nodes of Simpsonville, SC, Robert Nodes of Chattanooga, TN and Catherine (Kerry) Nuccio of Willow Grove PA. Linda was preceded in death by parents, Clel and Doris Rydberg; siblings, Ron Rydberg and Ann Eades. Both are survived by sons, Bill (Jennifer) of Frisco, TX and Brian (Beth) of Omaha; and grandchildren: Grace, Sam, Jacob, Jackson, Ben, Josh and Jayden.
Bill was born and raised in New Brunswick, NJ, graduating in 1961 from St Peter’s High School. He graduated from Trenton Junior College in 1963 and served 4 years in the US Air Force, including a year in Vietnam. The USAF brought him to the Omaha area where he met his wife Linda.
Linda was born and raised in Shenandoah, IA. Graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1963. She often spoke fondly of her hometown and the friends and memories she had there. She moved to Omaha in her early 20’s and met her husband Bill on a blind date.
Together they lived and worked in Omaha for over 50 years, raised a family, and made many happy memories with friends and grandchildren.
Both will be greatly missed.
VISITATION following CDC guidelines: Sunday, October 11th from 5pm to 7pm, at the West Center Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, October 12th, 10am, West Center Chapel. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Monday, October 12th at 12noon at Omaha National Cemetery with military honors. Memorials are suggested to VNA Hospice or Douglas County Health Center.

God Bless Bill and Linda. I miss my big brother so much, but I know that he and his beloved wife are together now forever in God’s arms.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your parents! Linda and I worked together at the Extension Office. She was an incredible person! So sweet. Prayers for you all!

Very wonderful memories of my Aunt and Uncle and time spent with my cousins. Love and prayers to everyone they touched.
My family wish the Nodes and all family and friends our condolences, Had so many fun times with Aunt Linda and Uncle Bill with Bill and Brian in Shenandoah. Especially the 4th of July celebrations!
