William R. “Bucky” Morris

December 13, 1933 – August 14, 2024

William R. “Bucky” Morris was born December 13th, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA.  He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, August 14th,

2024 at the age of 90.  Bucky is survived by his sister Mary Ann “Cookie” Morris, His wife of 38 years, Jean Morris; daughters, Theresa Stenslokken, (husband Greg); son Scott Morton; Lorraine Peters & husband Mark; sons Tim & Tom; Doug & wife, Patti Stenslokken (children Brent, Bryan & Brittany); Jeff Stenslokken – Jodi, (daughter Lea & husband, Dusty Broxterman), Brad Stenslokken & wife Michelle, (children, Tara & fiancé Ken Richmond, Jesse & wife, Haylee) and 9 great- grandchildren.

Enlisting as a young man into the US Air Force in 1954, he trained as a jet engine mechanic and maintained B-45’s, B-47’s, KC-135’s, and B-52’s. He did 2 tours in Vietnam from 1965-1967. His last duty assignment was at Offutt Air Force Base, where after 20 years he retired as a crew chief, Master Sergeant E7 in March of 1974.

Bucky enjoyed traveling; he also enjoyed the “Great Outdoors”. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Omaha Fish & Wildlife Club. He enjoyed going to auctions, gun shows, football & being an active member and commander of the American Legion Post 331.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, August 22nd at 11am at the West Center Chapel, with VISITATION beginning at 10am.

INTERMENT: Graceland Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post 331.

    I miss you, I’ve seen the B 52 stealth Thursday, I think you were on board checking it out, Then I saw the Eagle at the club Saturday, I asked you to contact me from the other side, I believe it’s you, keep sending signs , I love you Buck!
