William R. Jensen, Jr.
April 6, 1957 – April 28, 2019
Bill Jensen was a kind man with a dry wit and passion for storytelling. He found humor and excitement in so many of his experiences and he loved the chance to share an anecdote or a photo from his journeys. He loved travel, reveling in annual trips to Las Vegas and Key West, Florida, with his wife of 32 years, Carol. Recently, he and Carol parasailed over the Florida Keys and ziplined down the Las Vegas strip!
When not traveling for pleasure, Bill was often on the road as lawn care equipment salesman for Landpride and Big Bear—a job he worked at diligently for more than 40 years. Bill made many friends and acquaintances through this work and was genuinely happy to make these connections.
Perhaps Bill’s most favored activity, though, was gathering family and friends together just to spend time. A welcoming and gracious host, he was unfailingly attentive to the needs of his guests.
Bill is survived by his loving wife and partner in crime, Carol “CJ” Jensen; his son, Andy Jensen (Emily Soener); his father, Will Jensen; his sister, Julie Hansen (Jim); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arline and Oscar Mussman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Janice Mussman, and Galen and Jeffie Mussman; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Jensen; and his beloved dogs: Molly, Dani, and Lady.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, May 4th from 3pm to 6pm at Oak Hills Country Club, 12325 Golfing Green Drive. Memorials are suggested to the Northwoods Humane Society in Hayward, Wisconsin, or Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaVista, NE.

Carol and Andy, we are so sorry to hear about Bill! For being neighbors for 20+ years I always enjoyed our backyard talks about Huskers, golf, grass, or whatever else was going on. We always admired his perfect lawn. Our deepest condolences!
Brian, Lana, Trevor and Hailey. (Harley and Otis too)
Carol, Andy and family, we are so sorry to hear about Bill’s passing. We have a lot of fond memories of Bill. Bill sold me my first green’s mower as I started my career as a golf course Superintendent and many mowers after that! He was a great guy!
Carol and family, William. As I referred to him often, was a great guy to work with. He did a great job for Land Pride, but the best part of all was that he was a good guy who treated us all with respect. I’ll never forget his laugh or his wonderful smile. See you in another place William. JQ

Carol, I am so sorry. Prayers to you and your family.
God saw him getting tired and healing was not meant to be, so he put his arms around him and whispered “Come to me”.
I know this is more difficult than anyone can imagine, but rest your mind in knowing he is in a much better place than we are, You all are in my thoughts and prayers!
Hi Carol,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. My heart reaches out to you and your family in this moment of pain
and suffering. My condolence’s to your whole family. I didn’t know him well, but, the few times I had the opportunity to talk with him, he was an incredible man and had a great sense of humor.
So sorry for your loss, my friend. Continuing to lift you and Andy up in prayer, and sending lots of love your way.
Dear Carol, Andy, and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bill @ Big Bear for eight years – never a dull moment. I have missed Bill and that whole crew. I am so sorry that I could not be there for you today as we have a college graduate today. You are in my thoughts and prayers.thoughts and prayers.today
I do not know if this is the right person or not. But if this Bill Jensen was from Bettendorf and went to William Penn, I roomed with him in 1975. Prayers for you and your family.
