William W. Gresham

GRESHAM, William W., Dec 1, 1931 – Sep 17, 2011. An avid fisherman, sportsman and Husker fan, he retired from UPRR after 39 years of service in the Adm. Engineering Office. He worked campaigns for Henry Doorly Zoo, Ak-Sar-Ben, United Way, Nebraska Humane Society, and Open Door Mission. He also served as assistant Boy Scout leader, Little League umpire, U. P. Museum volunteer, and 30-year usher at two churches. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; parents, Col. Doyle and Lyle Gresham of Leawood, KS. He is survived by his wife, Donna J. Gresham; children: Doyle “Bill” Gresham, Jim Gresham (Tracy), Jane Jensen (Steve); 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; niece, Gina Norton. MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, 1:30pm, Dundee Presbyterian Church. Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Open Door Mission, Nebraska Humane Society, or Methodist Hospital Foundation. NO VISITATION.
