WILWERDING, Rev. Anthony P.

Rev. Anthony P. Wilwerding Jun 26, 1920 – Jan 25, 2016 Served as Army Chaplain and retired from the Army as a Colonel. In May of 2016 he would have celebrated 70 years in the priesthood. Preceded in death by parents, Aloysius and Susan Wilwerding; sister, Elizabeth Blankman; nephews, William and Anthony Blankman. Survived by niece, Mary Bruck (Ron); nephews: John, Joseph (Marilynn), James (Pat), Duffy (Lynette), and Thomas Blankman (Eileen); Meta Blankman, wife of William; may grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorials are suggested to FOCUS or Spirit Radio. VISITATION at Holy Cross Catholic Church begins Friday, January 29th, 2pm until 5pm. Visitation resumes at 6pm with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, January 30th at 10am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery in the Priest Estates Section, with military rites by U.S. Army Honor Guard.
