Winifred “Winnie” Miller

Age 94

Winifred “Winnie” Miller, age 94, passed away on May 14, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Nick; granddaughter, Pamela; brothers, Lloyd and Harold; sister, Dorothea Bruneau.  She is survived by her daughter, Karen Alexander (Joel); son, Tom Miller (Ginny); grandchildren, Sarah Alexander and Clay Miller (Alesia); great-grandchildren, Joey and Sam Miller.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 17th, from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, May 18th, 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church (6905 Blondo Street).  Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Winnie was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1927; she married Nick in 1947.  They had two children, Tom and Karen; three grandchildren: Clay, Pamela, and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Joey and Sam.  After raising their family and retiring, Winnie and Nick enjoyed taking several bus tours, seeing many different parts of the country.

Winnie enjoyed family gatherings large and small, e.g. cookouts and lunches; her grandkids; and, in previous years, neighborhood coffees and just visiting.  She was a longtime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Omaha.
