Zavier Alonso Escobar

Zavier Alonso Escobar

January 8, 2008 – June 16, 2020

Zavier Escobar passed away on June 16, 2020 in his mother’s arms.  He was born January 8, 2008 to parents Shenea and Luis Escobar.  An energetic, joyful and loving child, Zavi was known by his family and friends to be strong, full of life, smart, kind and always up for a good laugh.  He loved playing video games, riding in grandpa’s mustang and most of all being a big brother.

Though he faced a myriad of challenges, Zavi faced life with joy, strength and resilience that inspired those who knew him.  He was a blessing to many and deeply loved.

Zavier is survived by his parents, Shenea and Luis Escobar; sister, Zoe; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Lynn McGeehan; paternal grandmother, Concepcion Escobar, and a host of family and friends.  In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Zavi’s honor to The Make- A-Wish Foundation.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Sunday, June 21st, 1pm, at the West Center Chapel.

My heart sunk when I heard the news. I know how much Shenea and her husband Luis loved, cared and nurtured their boy, Zavi. He ALWAYS came first. The Valenzuela’s haven’t forgot about you, Shenea. Stay strong and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so saddened to hear of Zavi’s passing. He had such a zest for life. He brightened everyone’s day. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Find comfort and peace in God’s word John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.
