Constance Heiden Kammandel

November 6, 1946 – October 8, 2025

Constance Heiden Kammandel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Born on November 6, 1946, in Gary, IN, Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Jane Dorman, and her first husband, George Fraser “Geof” Heiden. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Kammandel Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Matt Dumich, and beloved grandson, George William of Chicago, IL; stepsons Henry Kammandel III of Scottsdale, AZ, and Donald Cory Kammandel (Ryanne Boelkel) of Dallas, TX.

Constance was deeply committed to her community and gave generously of her time and talents. Her philanthropic work included involvement with the Aksarben Women’s Ball Committee, Opera Omaha Guild, Junior League, P.E.O., Omaha Women’s Town Hall, Symphony Debutante Ball Committee, and the Omaha Symphony Guild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 5-7pm at Heafey Hoffman Dworak & Cutler, 7805 W. Center Road, Omaha.  

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., also at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak & Cutler.

A reception will follow at Happy Hollow Country Club.

Private Interment: Forest Lawn

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the Methodist Hospital Foundation, or Opera Omaha.

She will be remembered for her elegance, dedication to service, and the love she shared with family and friends.
