Constance J. “Connie” Boardman
May 16, 1950 – May 21, 2022
Connie Jacklyn Boardman, age 72, was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 16, 1950, to Kennard and Opal Boardman. She grew up in Westbury, New York before moving to Clarinda, Iowa for her high school years. Connie graduated as a registered
nurse from Iowa Western Community College School of Nursing and took her first nursing position with the Red Cross Bloodmobile traveling in Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas. She obtained her master’s degree and concluded her nursing career as the Clinical Manager of Josie Harper Hospice House in 2016. Connie and her two sisters, Robin and Sherrie Boardman, spent several years in Omaha raising their families together.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Opal and Ken Boardman, and her sister, Robin Devlin. She is survived by her two sons, Seth and Richard Boltz, sister, Sherrie; nieces and nephews.

So sorry to hear of losing Connie. She was such a spitfire of a nurse, and delightful to work alongside. I have very fond memories. Her family is in my thoughts.

Connie was a very good person – fun, loving, fun-loving and full-spirited. She will be missed.
I knew your mom thru my time as a volunteer at Hospice House. She was a kind, loving and generous person. She always had a smile for you and was a gift to all who knew her. Thank you for sharing her with all of us.

I had the pleasure of working with Connie at Immanuel Medical Center . I always enjoyed her fun personality and her smile. She was a wonderful caring nurse to each patient she cared for. I will miss seeing her at our nurse get togethers.

Sherrie, I am so sad to learn of Connie’s passing. You have suffered so many losses. The Boardman sisters hold a special place in the lives of many.
This is truly a sad moment. Had such good memories of Connie. Peace be with the family and rest assured Connie is now in a better and comforting place and will enjoy a better life again. God bless all of you.

I am so sad to hear this news about Connie. As you know we worked together at the American Red Cross together and we stayed connected as friends for many years. When I remarried and moved to Texas we lost touch. We tried several times to get together when Dale and I would go back to Omaha but it never seemed to work out. Please know how much she meant to me as a friend and confidante. I am truly so very sorry for your loss. She touched so very many lives with her wonderful bubbling laugh. What joy she gave so many. Me included.
