Lanh Thi Le

December 19, 1943 – October 3, 2025

Lanh Thi Le is one of the many individuals who fled Vietnam after the war, escaping the hardships and restrictions imposed by the new communist regime. Her journey to freedom began with a dangerous crossing of the Gulf of Thailand to Malaysia. In 1979, after more than a year in a refugee camp, she and her family immigrated to the United States, settling first in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Determined to build a new life, Lanh studied English and secured employment at Union Bank & Trust, where she worked for more than a decade. During this time, she also sponsored numerous family members to immigrate to the United States, helping them establish themselves in their new country.

In the early 1990s, Lanh moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she opened her first nail salon at Crossroads Mall. Over the years, she expanded her business, opening multiple salons and providing opportunities for other new immigrants to begin their own careers. Guided by the belief that hard work and calculated risks are essential to survival, Lanh has exemplified resilience and courage throughout her life. Her story reflects the enduring spirit of those who left their homeland in search of freedom and opportunity.

VISITATION: Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5pm to 8pm at the West Center Chapel.

VISITATION: Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5pm to 6:15pm, West Center Chapel, with more prayer and Rosary until 9pm.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 4002 “J” Street. Omaha, 68107.

Interment, Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family and given to causes in Vietnam.
