June 25, 1976-October 7, 2025
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the age of 49, Molly Marie Bennett lost her battle with cancer surrounded by her family.

Molly was born June 25, 1976 in Omaha, Ne., the daughter of Alan and Kathy (Rawlings) Bennett.
She graduated from Ralston high school in 1995. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and began her lifelong career as a veterinary assistant starting at Ralston Vet, going onto MidwestVet/VCA Specialty Clinic in Omaha, where she worked for nineteen years. Molly continued as a leader that grew the facility into a multi-specialty and emergency hospital. Her main love was internal medicine. Most recently, she taught Specialty Radiation Safety classes.
Molly was a skilled and knowledgeable veterinary technician in specialty care who was a fiercely passionate mother, ally and friend. She enjoyed spending her time with those she loved, especially her children; Doug, the love of her life; her step children and her many friends, including former neighbors, Jason and JoLynne, and the “4-H’s” Haley, Hannah, Heidi and Heather, who became a part of Molly’s family.
Molly was a strong woman both physically and emotionally. Her infectious smile and laughter revealed a genuine kindness that uplifted family and friends.
Although not recognized as a hobby, Molly was known for making meals (and ice cream) without using a recipe. Her hobbies were her children and adventures with Doug. She also had a knack for finding small boutiques and hidden vintage thrift shops. In August, 2014 she discovered needlepoint completing two projects and was working on a third.
Molly is survived by her husband, Doug Trede; children: Jacob, Lauren, and Marine Sergeant Ellen (Brooke) Tamayo; parents, Alan and Kathy Bennett; siblings, Becky (Chris) Catron; nieces Delaney and Avery; Nick (Jenny) Bennett, nephew Lucas and niece Kloe; mother-in-law Ruth Trede; step-children Molly, Josh – Doctor of Physical Therapy – (Delaney) and Ben Trede; as well as the entire extended Trede family numerous cousins; aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind many friends, old and new; professional friends and co-workers as well as a myriad of four-legged friends.
Preceding Molly in death are grandparents: Frank and Dorothy Bennett, Bob and Bonnie Rawlings; aunts: Elizabeth Rawlings and LeAnn Jeanneret; uncle: Glenn Bennett; and father-in-law Gayle Trede.
