Michael E. Moore Feb 22, 1948 – Dec 19, 2015 Proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam. Commander of the DAV in Omaha and Fremont. Board member of Great Plains PVA. Organized the Fremont Area Marine Corps League and served as its first Commandant. Member of Vietnam Vets of America, and rode with the In Country Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club. Mike participated at the 1992 Para Olympics as a member of the U.S. Powerlifting team. He served on the Veterans Advisory Committee for the state of Nebraska under Bob Kerrey. He worked as a Chief of Prosthetics for 28 years at the VA Hospital. Preceded in death by his father, Daniel A. Moore; mother, Clair Williams; brother, Daniel E. Moore; sister, Diane Coughlin. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Rosemary) of Fremont; son, Michael (Mollee) Moore of Omaha; daughters, Angel (Curt) Thomas of Blair, Michelle (Peter) Kenney of Papillion; seven grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Moore and Marty Cope of Denton, TX. VISITATION, Tuesday, December 22nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a PRAYER SERVICE at 7pm, at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, December 23rd at 11am at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. Memorial Interment at St. Mary Cemetery with military rites.
